A day in Dongducheon with KBS TV

🫰📷🎤🇰🇷Last Friday, we took a powerful step into the past—with KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) by our side.

A reporter and cameraman followed our research trip through Dongducheon, retracing the path of the long-lost YangJu Baby Home orphanage.

With the help of drone footage, we compared today’s streets with aerial photos from 1970—layering history over the present.

We met with the Mayor of Dongducheon, the superintendent of Aeshin Orphanage, and explored what might be the orphanage’s original location.

KBS also sat down with us to talk about the YangJu Adoptee Archive – and how it connects to our personal adoption stories.

Finally, we reached out to the local community – meeting seniors who might remember the orphanage.

This journey will be featured in a KBS short documentary airing this Korean Adoption Day, potentially reaching over 1 million viewers.
