Husband of daughter Kong DeMay deceased.
The pater familias was the reverend Mr Kwak Sun Yong. He managed the orphanage initiated by the local government and with help from the church. Mr Kwak was related to several Christian organizations; one of them the Korean subsidiary from Christian Crusaders. Apparently his children who moved to the US needed his help. Therefore he later handed-over the daily operation of the orphanage to someone else.
Mr Kwak had three daughters and a son.
The daughter Kwak Kyong Soo was married with lawyer Tom DeMay. She was a caretaker at the orphanage and he was involved in the organization and paperwork of adoptions, especially to the US. The husband died in 1994.
The daughter Moon Soo Lee was also a caretakers at the orphanage.
The son Mr Kwak Jong Ha (1939) was later robbed and murdered in 1977, in the US.
Little is known about Mr Kwak’s wife.
